Since creating Simkins Tutoring in 2020, Katie has formed form a team of tutors comprised of teachers, examiners, and students from top universities. Our team has collectively accumulated thousands of hours of tuition experience, both privately and through academic institutions.

Each student will be given a link to their own Google Drive folder which will contain notes, resources and worksheets, allowing 24/7 access.
About Katie
Katie is a full time tutor, a graduate of Imperial College London with a master’s degree in Physics, and an examiner for OCR. She has spent the majority of her working life applying herself to the study of maths and physics, working at the Royal Astronomical Society and on missions such as the Solar Orbiter and Cassini.
Katie believes that an appreciation of maths and physics is crucial to achieve a better understanding of our place in the universe. Her fascination for space science and the questions that this subject explores has led her to work in academia, outreach and policy work in this field.
Maths
The founder of Simkins Tutoring, Katie is a full time tutor, a graduate of Imperial College London with a master’s degree in Physics, and an examiner for OCR. Her fascination for maths and physics and the questions that these subjects explore has led her to work in academia, outreach and policy work in this field.
Tanushree is an undergraduate student at University of Michigan studying Mechanical Engineering and has been teaching and grading for over two years.
As a maths tutor at Simkins Tutoring, she hopes to help students build on their skills and be better prepared for their academic future.
Miguel is an experienced tutor of Mathematics and the Physical Sciences, specializing in Chemistry. He is currently a student at Imperial College London studying Chemistry with Molecular Physics. Miguel offers individually tailored lessons with a problem-based approach, focused on a deep and contextual understanding of subject content.
Tom is a software engineer with a degree in mathematics from the University of Manchester. He has lots of experience tutoring peers in sixth form and was a trained PASS Mentor during university.
Science

Harry is a student at Cardiff University studying Biomedical Sciences, with specific interests lying within physiology and research.By teaching biology and chemistry, he aims to aid students in their academic journey by delivering lessons tailored to each student’s goals and interests.
Sasvi is a student of the University of Cambridge, studying for a master’s degree in Clinical Neurosciences after having graduated from King’s College London. Alongside her study, Sasvi provides regular tuition to students. Sasvi aspires to teach in higher education as both an educator and a researcher.
Miguel is an experienced tutor of Mathematics and the Physical Sciences, specializing in Chemistry. He is currently a student at Imperial College London studying Chemistry with Molecular Physics. Dan is freelance Software Developer who has recently graduated from University of Manchester with a degree in Electronic Engineering. Dan has strong experience coding in Javascript, C and C#, and knowledge of a wide range of computer science topics.
English
Nikki has been teaching since 2014, previously as a full-time secondary school teacher and as a tutor of English Literature, Language & Creative Writing. She holds a MA in Creative & Life Writing from Goldsmiths, University of London, and a BA (Hons.) in Theology from the University of Cambridge. She is a fiction writer and is currently working on her first novel. In 2019, she was shortlisted for Creative Future Writers’ award for her short story, The Lady in the Pond.
Niharika is a graduate in Business and Management from Exeter University who is now working at an influencer marketing firm.
She had also been tutoring English since the pandemic and continues to do so as she loves it! She hopes she can help students find an interest in the subject and learn in an environment where they feel understood.
